Alterra at Lloyd’s – Syndicate 1400

Lloyd’s Syndicate 1400, originally formed in 1999 with the name Danish Re, was established primarily to write an international reinsurance portfolio. Since its acquisition by the Alterra Capital group in 2008, the Syndicate has diversified into additional classes and for 2011 will write business in ten main product areas, both from its box at Lloyd's and via its cover holder office in Copenhagen. In addition, there is a marketing office in Tokyo, Japan.
